What it does
My Quizzes lists every quiz assigned to you, lets you start or resume attempts, and shows your results — score, pass/fail outcome, and a question-by-question breakdown.
Who it's for
Anyone with a quiz assignment, typically learners; you see only your own assigned quizzes, attempts, and answers. Administrators review attempts separately from the quiz's admin page.
How it works
My Quizzes is organized into Pending, Completed, and All tabs. Each card shows the time limit, question count, remaining attempts, due date, and your latest score. Cards due within three days are visually flagged.
Starting. Starting a quiz shows a confirmation with the time limit and attempts remaining. On confirm, the server validates that the quiz is published and you're under the attempt limit (a personal override on your assignment wins over the quiz default), and, if timed, calculates exactly when your time expires.
Taking. The taking screen presents one question at a time with previous/next navigation, a progress bar, and — for timed quizzes — a live countdown. At zero, whatever you've answered submits automatically; otherwise you review and submit from a confirmation dialog. Answers are recorded on submit, and grading runs immediately after.
Results. The results page shows your percentage score, pass/fail badge, the passing score when the quiz has one, your attempt number against the maximum, and time spent. Each question below shows your answer; the correct answer and grader feedback appear only if the quiz was configured to show them. Retake directly from this page if you have attempts remaining.
Before you start
The quiz must be published and assigned to you — draft or unassigned quizzes never show up on My Quizzes.
Check the time limit and your remaining attempts on the quiz's card before you start a timed quiz; plan to finish it in one sitting.
Every started attempt counts toward the limit, even one you abandon, so don't start a quiz you aren't ready to take.
Do this
Open My Quizzes (
/my/quizzes) → you should see the Pending, Completed, and All tabs.On the Pending tab, select a quiz's Start Quiz button → confirm the time limit and attempts remaining shown in the dialog.
Select Start Quiz again in the dialog → you should see the taking screen with the first question and a progress bar.
On the taking screen, answer each question and move between them with Previous and Next → you should see the progress bar update as you answer.
Review your answers and submit from the confirmation dialog, or let a timed quiz auto-submit when the countdown reaches zero → you should return to the results page.
On the results page, review your score, pass/fail badge, and per-question breakdown → confirm whether correct answers and feedback are shown, which depends on the quiz's settings.
You're done when
✓ Your attempt shows as submitted and graded on the results page.
✓ Your score, and a pass/fail badge when the quiz has a passing score, are visible.
✓ The quiz moves from Pending toward Completed on My Quizzes once you have no attempts left or choose not to retake it.
Boundaries and limits
You can only attempt quizzes that are published and assigned to you (directly, through a group, or through your program); unassigned or draft quizzes never appear.
Every started attempt counts toward the attempt limit, even if you never submit it; once the limit is reached, the platform refuses to start another.
Answers are held in your browser until you submit. Closing the page mid-attempt leaves it in progress to resume from My Quizzes, but entered answers are not restored.
The timer is fixed at the moment you start and expires at a set time regardless of connection issues, auto-submitting your current answers.
Pass/fail is only determined when the quiz has a passing score; otherwise your attempt shows a score without a pass/fail outcome.
Correct answers and feedback on the results page show only if the quiz's settings enable them.
You cannot change a submitted attempt; grading fields (scores, pass/fail) are never editable by the taker.
Common questions
Q: Can I pause a quiz and come back later? A: You can leave and resume an in-progress attempt, but the time limit keeps counting down and entered answers are not restored — plan to finish a timed quiz in one sitting.
Q: Why can't I start another attempt? A: You've reached the attempt limit; every started attempt counts, including abandoned ones. Ask your program administrator for an override if you need another try.
Q: When do I see my score? A: As soon as your attempt is submitted and graded. Questions needing manual review may leave part of the score pending until an administrator grades them.
Q: Why don't I see the correct answers? A: The quiz's administrator chose not to reveal them. Feedback works the same way — both are per-quiz settings.
